SPECTEC's adaptable Model 4016 signal converter can be configured as a frequency to voltage (FTV) or 4 - 20mA frequency to current signal converter for use with RF pickups (modulated carrier sensors).

This signal converter is field adjustable to convert the RF pickup signal into either a 0-5v or 0-10v FTV output or configured as an FTC signal converter, the adjustable outputs are 4-20 mA or 10-50 mA. The scale of the output is proportional to the frequency of the input signal. The ZERO and SPAN adjustments make it easy to calibrate to almost any measurement range, with virtually no interaction between the potentiometers.
SPECTEC's frequency to voltage converter fits compactly into an explosion-proof Y3 enclosure. The Model 4016-20 is engineered for .33 mH RF pickup coils and the 4016-50 is set up for 1.0 mH RF sensors. The power supply input on the signal converters is designed to cover the entire range of commonly available DC power without any selecting or adjusting necessary.
The Model 4016 Frequency To Voltage Converter configuration has either a 0-5 v output or a 0-10 V output (changed with a with a jumper). Input and output configurations are field selectable to fit most applications and can be used with either 2-wire or 3-wire power supply configuration.
The Model 4016 Frequency To Current Converters configuration has either a 4-20 mA or a 10-50 mA signal conditioner, or as a 0-20 mA or 0-50 mA signal converter. A jumper is used between terminals 1 and 3 in the frequency-to-current mode. Input and output configurations are field selectable to fit most applications and can be used with either 2-wire or 3-wire power supply configuration.
