Intrinsically Safe and Non-Incendive Certifications

  • Model IS160A/IS161A ATEX Intrinsically Safe (Group II, Category 1G) for European Union
  • Model N160/N161 Non-Incendive/Limited Energy (Class I, Div 2 / Class I, Zone 2) for US and Canada and ATEX Limited Energy (Group II, Category 3G) for European Union

CAUTION: These sensors MUST be installed with an FM Global approved IS barrier. Installations must meet the requirements of intrinsically safe systems for hazardous (classified) locations and must follow details specified in FM Global control drawing 85047.

SPECTEC's Intrinsically Safe magnetic Hall effect sensors switch in the presence of a low magnetic field. North and south pole activation is standard. Uni-polar and Omni-polar magnet activation Hall effect sensors are available for higher pulse resolution. Various output options are provided to suit all interface requirements. A robust universal sink/source NPN/PNP low impedance rail-to-rail output with 60V automotive load dump and short circuit and reverse voltage protection is available.

Integrated temperature probe (RTD or NTC) magnetic Hall effect sensors are available.
